Microsilica

Silicon micro powder - also known as silica fume - or microsilica powder - or silica ultrafine powder, quartz powder is a white or gray powder, mainly obtained by recovering dust from the smelting flue gas of metal silicon or ferrosilicon alloys, as well as refining, crushing and grinding quartz mineral raw materials through mineral processing. Fineness of silica micro powder: More than 80% of silica fume has a fineness of less than 1 micron, with an average particle size of 0.1-0.3 microns and a specific surface area of 20-28 m/g. Its fineness and specific surface area are about 80-100 times that of cement and 50-70 times that of fly ash.
Particle morphology and mineral structure: During the formation process of silica fume, it is subjected to surface tension during the phase transition, resulting in the formation of amorphous spherical particles with a relatively smooth surface. Some particles are aggregates of multiple spherical particles stuck together. It is a volcanic ash material with a large specific surface area and high activity. Materials mixed with silica fume, small spherical bodies can provide lubrication. The stability, reinforcement, thickening, and thixotropy of ultrafine silica powder have been widely used in various fields such as rubber, coatings, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, and daily chemical PRODUCTS, providing a new material foundation and technical guarantee for the development of related industrial fields.
